Shopping and Lunch at the Amana Colonies

On Thursday, March 7, 2002 a coach bus will depart at 9:00 a.m. from the Holiday Inn and travel to the quaint Amana Colonies for shopping and a delicious lunch at the Amana Barn Restaurant. Arrival back at the hotel will be at approximately 5 p.m.

Amana is the largest community in the colonies. It has a number of interesting specialty shops, a woolen mill, furniture factory, and a variety of antique and other unusual emporiums.

Lunch will will be a choice of several local favorite dishes popular with Amana residents and visitors.

Cost including transportation and lunch is $21.50. Conference registration materials include the Amana trip registration and payment information. Note that Friday, March 8, has been reserved for a second trip should there be sufficient interest and the Thursday trip fills quickly. Be sure to indicate on your reservation form if the alternate day is acceptable.
