Quad Cities Highlights Tour
Join us on Friday, March 8, 2002 as we visit some of the attractions which make the Quad Cities one on the most
popular locations to enjoy in the midwest. We will depart from the Holiday Inn at 10:00 a.m. and travel by bus to the
John Deere Pavilion. There you will enjoy a guided tour of the world famous museum which is a showcase of John
Deere equipment and interactive displays about agriculture. Shop in the John Deere Store for JD items you can't
resist, visit the Collectors' Center and browse in the Isabel Bloom Gallery and Watermark Corners for unique gifts
for yourself or that special person.
At noon, we will meet at the Planted Earth Cafe for a delicious soup and sandwich buffet. Our luncheon speaker, the
popular Jonna Jensen, will share her wit and tales about country life in rural America. Enjoy!
After lunch, we will depart for the Quad Cities Botanical Gardens. There you will enjoy the world's most unique
conservatory. The Botanical Gardens offers an award winning 6,444 square foot tropical Sun Garden Conservatory,
the only one of its kind in the world. In addition to a fourteen-foot waterfall, you will experience hundreds of exotic
plants, tropical trees and flowers, and a peaceful reflecting pool. What a warming experience on a windy March day in
the Mississippi valley! It is anticipated that we will return to the hotel shortly after 3:00 p.m.
Cost including transportation and lunch is $18. Please preregister on the conference registration form. Note that
Thursday, March 7 has been reserved for a second tour should there be sufficient interest and the Friday trip fills
quickly. Be sure to indicate on your regiatration form if the alternate day is acceptable.
