In conjunction with the "Gathering of the Green" conference, arrangements have been made with Celebration River Cruises for a dinner cruise on Thursday, March 7, 2002. The CELEBRATION BELLE riverboat will be open for boarding at 6:00 p.m. with departure at 6:30 p.m. The dock location is a short distance from the John Deere Pavilion on River Drive in Moline.
     The CELEBRATION BELLE is a faithful reproduction of a nineteenth century paddle wheeler, many of which, at one time, plied the waters of the mighty Mississippi. It should be noted that this is not a gaming cruise. The "Belle" has a full service bar, a dance floor, and a live band, which plays a variety of dance music including swing and a selection of big band tunes.
     A buffet dinner will be served which features prime rib and a number of other entrees.
     The "Belle" will normally cruise for 2 1/2 hours but if the river is frozen, the boat will remain dockside.
     Reservations are required and must be made by March 5, 2002. The cost is $31.85 per person. Reservations are to be made directly with the Celebration River Cruise reservation office at 800-297-0034. Ask for "Amy", but anyone in the resevation department can help you. Be sure to identify yourself as attending the "Gathering of the Green" conference.
